What better to do on Father’s Day than to get really dirty? An all-out assault on the senses, the SCAR will get Dad and everyone else pumped. This race includes a mudwalk, a dream come true for both kids and kids-at-heart!

The SCAR is the fourth race in the 2009 Elite Point Series and a good old down-and-dirty adventure race (and we mean dirty). The SCAR’s 3-hour Sport race is also perfect for families looking for a fun, active way to spend Father’s Day together. Biking, running/trekking and mudwalking through five natural habitats of “Real Florida” and paddling on beautiful Lake Jesup is sure to inspire and challenge young and old alike!

Details:

The Sport race will be a 2-3 hour event and is perfect for those new to the sport of Adventure Racing or families looking for a fun, active way to spend Father’s Day together. We recommend checking out our free "AR 101" training session the morning of the race, which covers the basics of using a compass, reading a map, and how to run the race.

Elite raceview details

Details:

This 6-hour down-and-dirty adventure race will take all you’ve got. Teams should be experienced with navigating using a compass and map over water, on foot, and on the bike. Teams should also understand basic navigation techniques of hand railing, backstops, shooting a bearing, using attack points, and identifying mapped features.
